
Private Albert Laubenstein

Private Laubenstein was killed in action during the fierce Battle for Kapelsche Veer, on 26 January 1945.
A member of B-Company, The Lincoln & Welland Regiment, RCIC, he was 30 years old.
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Albert Laubenstein was the son George Laubenstein and Dorothy Laubenstein of 12720-66 Street, Edmonton. At the time of Albert’s death Mrs. Laubenstein was a widow.
Pte Laubenstein’s skeletal remains and personal belongings were recovered on 20 June 2014 by the Recovery and Identification Unit of the Royal Netherlands Army near Sprang-Capelle, Netherlands in what appears to have been a lost field grave.
